Hi all,
isn't there an *easy* way to get Inkscape 0.41 together with all the required libs in *one* package? I tried to install Pango last week, but I couldn'd find any Makefile :-(. I'm working under Ubuntu Linux.
Thanks,
Claus

Hi Claus,
Install it as a Linux autopackage, just get it from the download page : http://inkscape.org/download.php
At least it did work for me ;-) My distro is a slackware 10.1 HTH,

Claus, why aren't you just apt-get installing Inkscape? That will pull down all the necessary dependencies.
If Ubuntu doesn't have 0.41, you can get it from Debian/sid (just add a sid repository to your apt.sources list).
Failing that, you can apt-get the necessary build-dependencies, which are listed in the debian/control file of the Inkscape source. That will at least get the dependencies correct.
Thanks, Trent and Didier for your suggestions. Since I'm working exclusively under Linux only for a few months I still have much to learn, but now I'm performing an online update and am configent to get Inkscape 0.41 running!
