New 'Inkscape Answers' site
Hi all,
As some have already noticed, we have a new website for posting usage questions about Inkscape:
http://answers.launchpad.net/inkscape/
This is different from the bug tracker - it's for when you have questions about how to do something in Inkscape.
It's nice, in that it allows keeping track of if your question has been "Solved" or not. Developers can then easily and quickly peek in for any still open questions.
If it turns out your question is really a bug or feature request, it can be easily bumped over into the bug tracker appropriately.
I notice that a huge amount of the traffic here on inkscape-user@ has been usage questions; I hope Answers will give a more powerful and reliable way to gain an answer to your Inkscape usage questions, and allow the inkscape-user@ list to focus on more artistic and technique discussions. :-)

Hi Bryce,
Great initiative, will be very handy.
Just one question. I see it is located on launchpad.net. How is the information stored? Can you easily copy it to an other server? Or to something like bugzilla. Or will al the data be locked in into the lauchepad.net website?
Kind regards,
Jelle

We can retrieve a data dump on request, which is in an XML format. I've not tested importing it into other tools though.
