hi all,
i'm using inkscape to create prototype user interface elements, and one thing i'm trying to work out how to do is 'put objects on path', where i have a grouped list of objects (say, 100 rects) and i want them to individually be 'put' on a path.. so that i can, say, draw a curve, and then 'conform' the rect-group of my object to the path ..
sort of like 'put on path' for text, only for rect objects instead.
i can't, however, quite work out how to do this .. is there a way to take a large number of rects, and constrain their 'bottom edges' to a path using inkscape? something obvious i'm overlooking, perhaps ..
(i don't want to use text, but maybe thats a way to do it ..)

This was covered by the (closed) feature request 1076116
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=93438&atid=604309&func=det... (Repeat patterns along a circle/path)
but it only implemented the circle part. I would ask you to open a new RFE.
Wouldn't that be an idea for a new extension?
