I'm not really a heavy user but I love Inkscape. I have a friend I mentioned Inkscape to and while we were having a look at it he asked if there was a way to split an svg document in pages. Apparently this is something that is of some irritation with some of the other drawing packages.

ah, which reminds me of an old question i forgot to ask you guys. how could i actually print the inkscape tutorials? :) being layed on one very long page... i really wouldn't want to do all the layounting once again...

Wait until we convert them to XML which will automatically generate regular SVG, paged SVG, HTML, etc. (Hopefully soon.)

There's no easy way to split an SVG doc up into multiple pages. Certainly would be nice though. Maybe some day.
I think this would fall into the printing capabilities section. There's a *bunch* of work needed for improving printing capabilities in Inkscape, but unfortunately it's not an area that anyone is doing much work in (it's a pretty challenging bit of code to work on...)
