H field in transposition
I am using Inkscape to make Firefox theme icons from Vadim Plessky's Blue Sphere svg set. I make extensive use of the transposition bar that is visible when the selection tool is active. This allows me to carefully place and size my icon images.
This is the first of two annoying small problems: as I enter the left boundary (X), bottom(Y) boundary and width values, I tab to the next field. When I tab over to Y and W, the whole field is selected. When I tab over to H, the cursor lands at the left margin of the field. The expected behavior is that the whole height field would be selected.
The inconsistency causes me to add numbers to the vertical size when I am in a hurry. For example, if I want to change the height from 69.2 to 128, I end up with 12869.2, which causes problems from the second of the annoying problems (I will discuss that in a second post).
This problem has been consistent across many builds.
Thank you.
Ed
BTW - I notice in the build I am using - 2005-06-18 - there is a lock toggle button on the transposition bar. Thank you for that.

I cannot reproduce this. For me all four fields behave the same, i.e. the whole number is selected when I tab into it.
Anyone else can try it?
Based on my reading of this bug - https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1079585&gr... - I tried reproducing this behavior with and without strokes. With a rectangle using no strokes, the field selection from tabbing proceeded normally. With a rectangle that has a stroke, the selection from tabbing did not occur.
Perhaps it is linked to the above bug?

Strange. I just tried it. Works fine no matter stroke or not.
