Can't start on Win7
I was using an older version of Inkscape (not sure which one), and couldn't start it: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005)."
I upgraded to latest version (0.48.0) after an uninstall. I deleted all user preferences too. I am getting the same error.
I checked in my AppData/Roaming/inkscape, and all I have in there are empty folders.
What do I need to do to get this working?

Try again launching Inkscape after a reboot.
The same problem has been reported by several users, and most who provided feedback confirmed that Inkscape launched fine after rebooting the system.
Issue is tracked in https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/453931, cause is unknown.
