Hi,
I noticed Print Direct disappears, so are you planning any neat print dialog with preview? It is long time needed feature. Is it able to set any printing preferences before just print?

I haven't heard any mention of it but that doesn't mean it isn't going to happen but I think we might need someone to work on Gnome Print if we wanted to provide a standard print preview across different platforms.

I think people who need more complex printing functionality have been using Scribus to import their SVG and use it for printing but you are right the Printing support could be improved and I believe there are quite a few requests already for improvements.

Yes, print preview is a long-needed feature.
My suspicion is that the most efficient point to implement this is after we've converted to Cairo, since in theory we'd then get this feature "for free".

Is converting to Cairo going to happen anytime soon?
There's a number of steps that have to happen first, so probably not, but if someone is dedicated to working on making it happen, we could be surprised.
