Just a quick question. Previously when I worked in Illustrator or CorelDraw, I set the measurement to pixels, since most of the stuff I was doing was for the web. I noticed in Inkscape that the global preferences set some things with pixels, but you can't set the overall measurements to pixels. Is there a reason for this?
I've been getting around it by designing in point measurements and then changing the DPI when I export to bitmap to get to the pixel size I want. At least the proportions work ok when I do this.
Any thoughts?

No reason. One of the things I plan to do is to add the pixel units everywhere and make units saveable with the document.

Excellent! I'm having a lot of fun with Inkscape. I'm a graphic/web designer who's main hard drive crashed about a month ago and to get up and running quickly, I put an older drive in the machine and installed Ubuntu Linux (obviously, from my sig). I've been using Linux for a lot of years, but this recent experience has been a monumental moment for me. After a month with just Linux, I'm still not really missing anything except for an occasional little minor thing that Illustrator/Photoshop/Corel has.
