Fwd: Looking for Native Inkscape for Mac 10.7.5
Hi All, I really love inkscape, but I am ready to ditch my mac just so I can run native inkscape in linux. Before I do, does anyone have a native version that doesn't use X11 on mac?
Best JJ
Just get Virtual Box install and then create you a virtual linux on your Mac.
I use parallels, but virtual box is free. I have Windows 7 and Linux on that I can run on my Mac

I heard there was a quartz version, I am looking for a fast native version. I found this old thread, but the dmg doesn't install.

Wow, thank you. I have been looking for something like this too, and at least at first glance it seems to be working fine - I think I will now be trying to use it productively and see how well that works.
Just a question/suggestion, why isn't this offered on inkscape.org at least with a notice that it may still be unstable and/or not behave completely like an OS X application (staying running without a window open etc.)? I think this may well help its popularity and thus (through bug reports) its stability.

Thanks for the file, works but some of the buttons don't show up properly like it cannot find the icons (shown below)

So, this version that's downloaded from the Rapidshare site doesn't require X-11 or X-Quartz?
