Clones align different than originals
Hi there,
when working with clone objects I noticed that they align different than their originals:
- create a path, e.g. a square, with nodes fitting into the grid - create a clone: it has no nodes, thus it does align to the grid with its shape.
Is that a supposed behavior, or should I file a bug report or RFE?
And for a quick solution now: Does anyone have an idea to work around this?
TIA

That's wanted. Only the original has nodes. If you change the nodes of the original, also the clones will change. That's the difference to a copy.

Hmmm... And what's the benefit of that behavior?

I know, that's why I wanted to use clones :-) But I stumbled over that different behavior making their use impossible for me. That's a pity, for I have to use a lot of similar objects (for a diagram-like drawing), which might have to change their look.
