Hi all,
I'm about trying to make a dial by following the tips on Tavmjong's web site at
http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Tiles-Tricks.html
but I just can't figure out how to handle the parameters within the 'tiled clones' dialogue. I managed to set the center of rotation, and checked 'exclude' for the columns, but how do I proceed after that? (I selected P1 translation.) For a start, I just wanted to make a dial composed of 4 short strokes, at 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270°, but even this seems to be difficult. Sorry, but the rows/columns part is a bit confusing to me. Can anybody help?
TIA,
Claus

Set the center of rotation. Symmetry: P1 12 rows x 1 column Shift Y per row: -100% (this eliminates shifting) Rotation per row: 30
Everything else unchanged.
