Alan, thank you for your reply
I do already have some suggestions, is this forum the correct place to suggest them? (I am new to this newsgroup type effort).?
Suggestions are always welcome but it if much more helpful if you are not overly critical (constructive criticism!) and make a resonable aeffort to see if it has not already been suggested in the RFE (Request for Enhancement) pages on Sourceforge.
At the moment none of the developers are getting paid to work on Inkscape so it is important not to expect too much too soon but they are an enthusiastic team and are eager to make the best Vector Graphics software they can.
If the developers like your idea then they will probably ask you to add a report/RFE to the sourceforge project pages http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=93438&atid=604309
I use illustrator on a daily basis, as I work in a design firm.
I'm sure your feedback would be much appreciated. I have been trying to look at Adobe Illustrator CS but as I only have a trial edition I cannot do that for very long.
but yes, it seems like it is comming along quite nicely, I also like the idea of extentions, that seems to have worked out well with firefox.
I'm hoping that the extensions/plugin system will grow to support existing Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop plugins in the long term. In the shorter term I'm hoping that Inkscape can make use of some of the features of programs like Dia and Sketch which have support for a wider variety of file formats.
I brought this offlist, you dont mind if I bring it back onlist?
Sincerely
