as far as I can tell, I did not receive any email to notify me that this post had been made. I was under the impression that I would be sent such an email automatically. Is there some way of configuring the account so this happens automatically?

Hi Alvin,
when you visit https://lists.inkscape.org/postorius/accounts/list-options/inkscape-user.lis... and are logged in, you can set various options for how to receive emails from this list.
I'm not sure they will make a difference, though, as it might be that the reason is not that those emails aren't sent, but that your email account does not accept them.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. This time it worked properly, I got your email automatically. I am not sure what happened yesterday. Maybe I accidentally deleted a message without realizing what it was.
