I have tested out some of the effects in .44pre2. Overall the usability is quite good and no crashes. One of the filters did cause a lock up but it became usable after that so I quit without saving that last bit and it worked as normal when I started up again. Is there anyway you can use graphical terms instead of mathematical ones. Like the L something makes a tree - if you labeled that tree-maker or something to that effect instead of L something, it would make much more sense. Great work as always.
The logo at the top of the link was done with Inkscape .44pre2 on Ubuntu 6.06, installed with the autopackage installer.

Not really, because an L-system can do a lot more than just trees. See for example:

Somehow I don't seem to be able to get more than the first 40 to 50 rows of pixels when viewing an image from the gallery (and its slow), I'm using Firefox on Windows XP. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

Not just you. I think it's when the website sees heavy load.

Indeed, there seems to be problems with the sourceforge.net server and this is not the first time when I see such problems.

Yes, I've noticed this problem as well. I'm not sure what can be done, other than moving the images (and possibly the whole website) off the SourceForge servers...
Bryce
