Hi,
if I have 5 objects, one over the other, partly transparent, and the lowest is not larger, but even smaller than the other ones. What is the most simple way to select the lowest object?
Until now, if I didn't put them all on different layers, I always lowered the other objects, but that's a lot of work and sometimes everything gets mixed up. So, is there a smarter way?
Regards, Hago
select one, and hit tab, everytime you hit tab it will take you to the next object.

Alt+click (press and hold the Alternate key while clicking until you get to the lowest object).
You should definitely have a look at Help/Keys and Mouse. You'll learn a lot about Inkscape.
