Symbols functionality in 0.91
Hi!
Seems I'm lacking the editing functionality for symbols in 0.91 (windows 64 bit)
According to: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/SymbolsDialog , there should be a menu item object => symbol to group and object -> group to symbol.......
Was it left out in 0.91, or is it hiding in the menus somewhere , have you found it ??
Regards Kjell L.
I'm not sure if you ever found an answer for this. But I finally did, so I'll post it, just in case you still need it.
According to this bug report https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1419345 the functionality was changed at the last minute, and the Release Notes were never updated. Those 2 tiny buttons at the bottom left corner of the Symbols Dialog, now take the place of Group to Symbol and Symbol to Group buttons.
All Best!

Great! - I saw those buttons , but did not understand that they had anything to do with symbol editing funcionality.
With you input I now see that you add symbols by turning your "pre-symbol" into a group and press "add symbol from current document". Vice versa, by pressing "remove symbol from the current document" - it is turned into a group and can be edited.
Thank you very much - very useful functionality for me Regards Kjell L.
