Grouping text and shadow loses blur
I am trying to take a piece of text, make a white copy to make a shadow which I have slightly blurred with the Object Fill and Stroke tool, but when I select one, hold down the shift key to have both selected, then Group them, the white shadow loses it blur.
What am I missing? Thanks!

It's a known bug in Inkscape:

reported workarounds: a) move the group and then move it back b) move the group and then undo (Ctrl+Z)
