I have trouble opening files by double-clicking their icons, and by choosing them in the File...Open Recent command. I get a "Failed to load" error message. Opening them via File...Open is no problem. Any ideas? Inkscape 0.43, WinXp SP2. Thanks, Tim Reeves

We probably need some concrete details to say much at all...
But there have been some problems with non-ASCII names and paths with various Windows setups. And when I say "non-ASCII" I'm being precise in terminology and meaning anything other than plain 7-bit characters. Do you perhaps have that going on with them?
