Hello,
For some reason Inkscape does not show me the condensed fonts on my system. I am running Ubuntu (Lucid) and I have some DejaVu condensed fonts installed:
% ls /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/*Condensed* /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSansCondensed-BoldOblique.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSansCondensed-Bold.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSansCondensed-Oblique.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSansCondensed.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSerifCondensed-BoldItalic.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSerifCondensed-Bold.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSerifCondensed-Italic.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSerifCondensed.ttf
So I go to inkscape, select some text and click on the little "T" button to get additional font options. There, I select DejaVu Sans and under "Style" I see options like normal and Semi-Condensed, but I do not see Condensed.
Does anyone know what's going on? Is it possible that DejaVu does not actually *have* condensed fonts and all the files that say "Condensed" are actually mislabeled and they are really only semi-condensed?
Thanks for the help.
