OK, I'm an old guy. But Inkscape 0.43-1 for Windows32 does not use my system's fontsize definitions for its menubars and menus. Instead, I get this really tiny type.
This is a usability issue. In Windows, we have been able to set our own fontsizes systematically. Inkscape should follow the system. When you young guys hit 50, you'll want larger type, too.

Well, there's nothing in Inkscape which overrides the system font; we depend on Gtk to get it right. The trouble is that the build of Gtk we've been packaging Inkscape with is not following those settings correctly for some reason.
We've got folks working on it -- to help them out, what version of Windows are you using?

I also have extremely small fonts in the 0.43 I just downloaded and installed. I have XP Pro (SP1) and it didn't have this problem with 0.42.
