Re: [Inkscape-user] [Inkscape-devel] Entries to the contest

Suggestions for future contests.
With so many entries, it's going to be really hard to choose just one. I seem to recall from the last contest, that the community was allowed to choose a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place vote. It also seems like there were 2 stages of voting, and in the 2nd stage, we only got one vote. But there were much fewer entries in the 2nd stage.
Hhmm, looking back at the instructions for the last contest, it doesn't indicate what I remember, about the voting. So it's possible I don't remember correctly.... But if it was a dream, it was quite satisfying as a voter, to be able to choose 3. And the 2nd stage of voting made it more fun!
Also might be nice to show the running vote count on the contest gallery page. If it's possible.
Just some thoughts :-)
All best, brynn

Can we vote more than once ? (1 vote for different projects?)

Dear devs,
I'm really impressed with the number and quality of entrants in this year's contest:
https://inkscape.org/en/gallery/=about-screen-contest/contest-for-092+0 /
Check them out if you haven't yet.
I'm still working on fixing the rendering a little bit, so that entrants that used our advanced features won't be left with bad browser renderings during the vote (starts on Sunday!).
I didn't get a response for the whole self-contained-package thing, so I guess it must not be possible.
Best Regards, Martin Owens

Hi all, yes is realy hard voting only one.
+1 to 3 votes Maybe we dont need select 1-2-3 type vote, maybe is more simple and easy to do a 1-1-1 vote.
Cheers, Jabier.

When we finish 1.0 inkscape, we'll have a contest/voting system that'll be used by Iceland's next election if we're not careful ;-)
Anyone who'd like to help write code, I could do with the help.
I agree there's lots of entrants. But I'm really glad about the quality of them. Makes me happy.
Martin,

Is cool have voting inside inkscape.org. Good work!

Martin,

I also think it help brought more visibility to the contest hosting it inside the webpage! Awesome work!
Indeed the quality of the candidate's work for splash screen is amazing!
