Hello Susan, could you specify which version of Ubuntu and which version of Inkscape you combined? Ubuntu: I assume you used the 12.04 LTS version also a list of you additional package source the time you installed inkscape would be helpfull. Inkscape: please specify the source where you get inkscape from? Which PPA did you use or did you installed a .deb package?
