I've just uploaded the tarball for 0.44pre0. Enjoy.
Trace bitmap on this version is too slow, almost unusable. Also, I must to revert on GCC 3.3.6 to compile (on GCC 3.4.6 I can compile, but can't run Inkscape, it crash).
