Heya,
Would anyone be interested and willing to commit to helping update the content on the Inkscape website?
The website's been vital to Inkscape's success, yet we're a bit short staffed at the moment; those of us who have maintained the website have also been getting into doing coding more, so we've spent less attention on it than we did in the past.
If you're looking for an important way you can contribute to the project other than coding, and you like putting stuff on websites, this'd be a great way to participate in the project.
Basically, the job requires staying in tune with what developers are working on (via the inkscape-devel@ list), and posting news blurbs to the homepage to the Inkscape homepage to keep people up to date on happenings.
In addition, the site could use fleshing out more, with new examples of Inkscape in use, more documentation, and so forth.
The work requires that you're comfortable using basic HTML and know how to check stuff into and out of CVS. The dynamic parts of the site are done using PHP, so knowledge of PHP is a plus, but not really necessary. I'm also looking for someone who's been with the project for a while (even if you've just been asking questions or submitting bug reports so far).
If you're interested, reply to me privately with your SourceForge user id, background, and level of interest.
