I needed some of the recent improvements - specifically, flowed text and the ability to change the format of individual characters, so I downloaded and installed a snapshot.
However, I am having problems with files converted from ps.
The import that worked find on the 0.41 release is not importing properly with the snapshots I have downloaded (inkscape-20050429-1520, inkscape-20050501-1240). Specifically, the text and the path's are no longer "lining up". I attached a screenshot of the 0.41 release of inkscape (on the left) and the snapshot (on the right), as well as the svg file.
The intermediate skencil file looks fine (in skencil).
As a side question, is it a bad idea to email this list with problems like this (snapshots)? Should i file a bug instead? File a bug and email?

Thanks for reporting, it was a bug in CVS, we just fixed it.

Unfortunately, there is another problem.
Ungrouping the file causes all of the text to jump to (0,0), and it always jumps back there, even when I try and move it. This did not occur in the 0.41 release.
A screen-shot of the result of "ungroup", as well as the svg, is attached.
