Un-uninstallation?
Inkscape by default saves stuff in the /inkscape dir.
When I installed .45 it obliterated (I assumed it would leave whatever files were there) all of my work in the Inkscape Dir when it unistalled .44!!
Is there -any- way to undo this? I may have to go into a period of grieving, here. (Lost about 15-20 fairly complex svgs and pngs.)
Help is appreciated. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Un-uninstallation--tf3276847.html#a9112926

Ooooh -- I feel your pain. My toes curl up at the thought.
Lesson learned - is all I can think of. Save to a folder in home and never again trust an application directory.
Oh, and backup! I have a second drive and I wrote a script that uses rsync to copy selected directories to the other drive at night. It only copies what has changed, never removes anything, so I get a kind of increasing entropy mirror of my original working folders. (I hope ;))

Garth,
the uninstaller simply deletes those directories. I would hope that those go to the windows trash been.
I will file a bug for the uninstaller to only remove the files that have been originally copied only.

Also this is because Inkscape default behavior is not correct in the sense of a windows perspective.
I will check if we need to track this as an other bug.
