Hi everyone,
I was wondering if these two things would be possible in Inkscape: a)attach connector end points not only to centers, but also othe rpoints b)have connectors formed by a succession of horizontal and vertical lines
Thanks, Adi

Yes, this is *possible* with the code we use, but we need to create an interface for it. It has been requested before and will be added at some point. It's on the TODO list. ;-)
b)have connectors formed by a succession of horizontal and vertical lines
Not currently. The library we use for routing does not yet support orthogonal connectors (those made up of horizonal and vertical components), though this is being working on. So, we may be able to easily add this behaviour once the underlying library supports it.
Cheers, Michael
Dear Michael,
Thank you for your answer. I like Inkscape a lot, it has a very good interface and many export options. Some features (like that of connectors) are still missing, but once this will be fixed, this will become a great program. Since I am new to this, I was wondering if there is a place where users and developpers discuss what features will be added? I am not a good enough programmer to contribute to development, but at least I could give you my feedback as a user.
Keep up the good work, Adrian
