break apart in individual polygons
Dear all,
I have a figure composed of 5 ellipses (you can find the SVG file attached) and I would like to draw a different color for each polygon. Is there a quick and dirty way to split this figure in all individual polygons?
Thank you in advance, Adrian

Sure.
- Select all 5 of your ellipses and do Path->Combine (CTRL+k). - draw a rectangle larger than the new path and place it behind the path. - select both the rectangle and combined path and do Path->Division (CTRL+/) - delete the excess.

Export to PNG, use Gimp.
Honestly, with five sets it gets really frustrating to use binary operations with inkscape. OTOH, this is too special for an intrinsic Inkscape command, so the best would be to have a script for break all apart. There might have already been a discussion and RFE on this.
