I run OpenOffice 2.1 and Inkscape 0.45 on my Windows XP system. Monotype Corsiva, which is installed on my system, does not show up in Inkscape as it does in OpenOffice Writer. I've enclosed PDFs from each program as examples. Is there some kind of font conversion I need to do before being able to use Monotype Corsiva with Inkscape?
