I work exclusively in millimetres, but Inkscape keeps reverting to pixels. This is extremely annoying, and I can't seem to find any way of *permanently* setting all such measurements to mm.
Am I missing something, or can this be changed?

Thanks for your reply. It seems that was it, and gave me the clue to a solution.
I created a new empty 'frame' with my preferred settings, then opened the original file, selected all, and pasted it into this frame. Saving and reloading seems fine... so far!
