I am using the standard 0.48 installation on Windows Vista and Inkscape has started mis-behaving. I'm getting the attached extension-errors.log file created. I've tried reinstalling Inkscape, but this has not cured the problem. What's happening and what is the solution (in simple language, please!).

these errors are quite normal, on any version of Inkscape. It is simply giving you a list of external program that are needed to run various Inkscape extensions, and if these programs are not installed on your computer, then this will show up in the log file. For example, some export extensions require dia, or pstoedit, or latex, which apparently are not installed on your machine, because they are not part of the Inkscape package.
