SVG to finally gets some support from MS?
It seems Microsoft has applied to take part in the W3C SVG working group. Could that means they are finally coming around to supporting SVG in IE (after attempting to develop their own web vector format as part of WPF).
Details are here: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2010/01/05/microsoft-joins-w3c-svg-working-...
This could make Inkscape vastly more popular in the near future.

Maybe I'm just an old cynic, but I think this is extremely BAD news for SVG.
You might remember that MS started pushing their docx format AFTER supposedly taking part in ODF specification discussion
