hi
the last few cvs builds became somewhat slow on scrolling the canvas with mouse wheel... the scrolling with cursors works though....
regards, bostjan
Make sure to put a bug report in on this. Also be sure to detail the system you're using, date of your cvs checkout, etc.

That is brilliant. This is the type of thing we need for screenshots for the site. Moreso than my first attempt at lamely placing shots of the clipart only on the main page.

I added the screenshot to the site. Keep em coming! This is a great way to get involved. More importantly, it is great to learn how to add your own screenshots to the site. Please see the wiki on how to do that:

Yep...we need more action shots like this for screenshots...especially since we have our up and coming browser to view the clipart.

Hi Bryce,
Ummm, the gradients are not showing up. The PNG's are white and the gradients are not there!! That's quite a few files that are blank (118 files total!! :-( )!!
Anyone else agree??
Running XP Pro (SP 1+) top notch system (home grown) and Inkscape 0.38
Richard ;-)~

Hi Bryce,
Ummm, the gradients are not showing up. The PNG's are white and the gradients are not there!! That's quite a few files that are blank (118 files total!! :-( )!!
The gradient files are compatible with Jasc Web Draw. The files deliberately contain only a gradient _definition_, not a drawing that uses a gradient.
The inkscape developers should consider doing something special for files that contain only definitions of gradients/patterns/etc but do not contain anything else. I'd be interested to know if a current version of librsvg does anything clever in this situation. if it doesn't please let me know because I'll file a request, I'd like to be able to see useful thumbnails of the gradients in Nautilus.
I got the impression that Bryce got them to work somehow but I didn't ask about the specifics. They might not work with anything else.
Inkscape definately has some problems with the way Jasc WebDraw does gradients (but Adobe doesn't have problems with the same files) https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=899194&gro...
A secondary motive in creating the gradients was to encourage the Inkscape developers to improve gradient support.
Sincerely
Alan Horkan.

What I'm thinking for these is that we should package the gradients as a separate special tarball in the future. Same thing with markers or other such items that'd go in a <def> section.

They loaded up fine, but of course since there were no objects, there was nothing to display in the thumbnails. Wasn't sure what to do with them so figured we'd figure it out later and left them as is.
