about constraining movement, rotation and scaling

Hi Inkscapers,
I read in the manual that one can make 50% and 200% scaled objects, as well as scale up and down by 2 pixels.
But: can one constrain the finess of the scaling the same way one can in Blender? That is:
- hold control to scale up/down modifying only the first decimal, all other decimals to zero - hold control and shift to do the same for the second decimal.
Such ease in precision constraining would be very useful for CAD-like accurate graphics.

Inkscape does not operate in "decimals". If you want the sizes to take only quantized values, you need snapping to grid, which Inkscape supports. You can set any spacing of the grid.
For keyboard moves and transforms, we support two main modes: fixed nudges for a settable distance (without Alt) and pixel-sized nudges (with Alt), both can be multiplied by 10 with Shift. This satisfies the needs of both technical users who need absolute-unit precision and artistic users who need slight visual adjustments depending on the current zoom level. For more details, see http://inkscape.org/doc/keys.html.
