I'm trying to install inkscape from CVS on my debian (sarge) machine. I installed all the necessary packages so that the configure-script doesn't complain anymore. But running make always fails. After a while it makes my computer hang for some minutes and ends with the following lines:

Any suggestions? Fehler means Error. Thanks, Wen

Since you are using debian I would suggest doing:
apt-get build-dep inkscape
I'm not bright enough to know what could be causing the error, but that would help ensure that you have fulfilled all of the dependencies. (Actually this just gets the dependencies for 0.41, but I don't remember any crazy dependencies being added since then.)
When I have seen errors like this in the past, they always went away magically when I updated CVS a few hours later.
