Guides - locking and setting color

Hi, all.
I have trouble finding info on the following: 1. How can I temporarily lock all guides? Is it possible at all? (I keep unintentionally selecting and dragging the guides when I really want to move some of the design elements around.)
2. Is it possible to change the guidelines color? Again, I keep mistaking some of the guides for my design element outlines, which incidentally are both black.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. For now, I'll simply stick with showing/hiding the guides whenever needed. Luckily there's a shortcut so it's quite fast.

I don't have an answer to this question. I don't know of any ways to lock guides.

You can change the guide color in the Document Properties in the Guides tab. You can set both the normal color and the color that guides change to when highlighted by the mouse.

Ah. Thanks.
Looks like the guides are black in the new 0.47 preview on Linux Mint, regardless of what I do. I'll go ahead and file a bug, if it's not already done.
*BTW*: Anyone else know if it's possible to lock the guides while still having the objects snap on to them?
