Hi everyone,
With the colorfull new version of bitmap tracing included in Inkscape, the pleasure of designing with vectors made a giant step in my heart.
By the way after tracing a picture, I always use the option to "simplify path" (Ctrl+F). Cause else there are too many anchor to work on the shape effisciently. "Simplifying" tool does a great job and is easy to use with monochrome tracing.
But it's a pain to use with colorfull shape. You have to select all anchors of each shape (one by one). Painfull. And it creates some holes beetwen the shapes.
So my wish, or call it a suggestion :), is to add in the tracing dialog box two checkboxes. One asking to "Auto-simplify" the shapes and the other one to "Auto-collapse" gaps between generated shapes.
What do developpers think about it ? This two checkboxes would blow my mind...
Have a nice day,
Denis.

Actually with current CVS you can do simplify on the group, bob implemented it a day or two ago.
