I just stumbled across Inkspace last night, but already like it a lot. I'vebeen through all of the tutorials in the help menu and the tuts on the website (one & the same). I'm curious if anyone know of any tutorials with a more hands-on approach to creating something. :-) It's one thing, for me at least, to read about features and kind of see how they function within the confines of that tutorial, but I find I have a far easier time learning software if I can just dig in and work towards some discernable goal. Does anyone know of any good tutorials with a goal (ie. Buttons, characters, actual THINGS besides squares, etc.) like that? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

JTS,
Welcome to the list and inkscape. I hope you enjoy it. Here is some tutorials I found: http://www.closing-gaps.org/tutorial-ink1.htm http://programmer-art.org/inkscape << this page also had some, and I think the author is just making them in video edition, so hopefully they'll be available soon.
