Re: [Inkscape-user] Inkscape 0.46 Released!
Thank you for providing this fine application. Inkscape is my favorite toy and tool. Good to see the winner of the "About Inkscape" contest live.
Thanks for the attention to detail in the latest version. Example: in the past, it's been a bit of trouble to find the python/xml package that supports some of the effects. Now, the effects>generate from path>interpolate error message provides the installation command. And the tool takes a break until the package is installed.
I can hardly wait to try out all the new goodies.
Your effort and creativity are inspiring.

Same here - here's hoping the various SUSE repositories get an updated build soon. I'm itching to try out some of the new features, particularly the new .AI import feature.

After getting it on a few of my ubuntu installs, I'm pretty eager to get it on my opensuse 10.3 box too. I thought I would take a crack at building an rpm for it until an official one comes out but I have so far crashed and burned. First time trying to make an rpm...a little green. I had to change some package names in the .spec from the Inkscape source for suse compatibility. I think I was close to doing it but I gave up and now I'm compiling Inkscape the old fashion way (./configure, make, make install). First time that I have compiled Inkscape too. It's been 20 minutes and it's still compiling. Wow!
