[Fwd: Adding a new input device to inkscape - Trust TB-4200]

I'm new to inkscape. I have a Trust TB-4200 graphics tablet that I would like to use properly with inkscape - i.e. make use of the pressure sensitivity.
It works well as a pointing device, although it occasionally switches between behaving as a tablet and a mouse.
Is there an easy way of adding this device to the list of known input devices? As installed, inkscape only knows of a Synaptics device - but enabling this stops the device working altogether.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Which OS are you on?
Fedora Core 5
Thanks

Ok. So you're on X11 among other things.
Have you tried The GIMP to see if it behaves the same with the tablet?
It could be more of "setting X11 up with my tablet" instead of as much with Inkscape. I do know that if X11 isn't set up right, then Inkscape won't be able to do much.
