Anyway, with devel version it is recommended to use a newer AI format (version 9 or later) and the AI [PDF-based] file type in the Open dialog.

But I do have ghostscript installed.

This message is what i see in the error log. When i try to open certain ai files on Windows XP the message that Iimmediately shows in inkscape is the following

Failed to load the requested file C:\Documents.........\Sport_Vereniging_Estrella.ai which is from this url http://tinyurl.com/2oalhk
