Hi Friends, I had an error message I haven't seen before, while working with Inkscape, and it seemed to be fairly serious. It did not technically crash, but it effectively crashed not just Inkscape, but I had to restart my computer! I wonder if I should make a bug report for it? The reason I wonder, instead of just making a new report, is that I don't have a file to offer. I did manage to grab a screenshot though, which is attached. So you can at least see the error message. Otherwise all I have is my verbal explanation. Briefly, after the error msg, anything and everything on my screen was sort of frozen in place. For example, when I moved the error msg over, to be able to save and close windows, it sort of just smeared what looked like 15 or 20 copies of the error message across the screen (just like if you spread out a deck of cards across a table). If I maximized a window from the taskbar, it became frozen there. Even after I closed it, it was still there. And somehow, the font menu remained on top of everything (I was using the Text tool at the time of the error message). I managed to close everything out from the taskbar, and restart, and now I'm back to normal. There are a lot of details I've left out, because I know a lot of people don't like to read long messages on the mailing list. But I'll be glad to write out all the details, if anyone is interested and can use the info. Or let me know if you want me to write a bug report. Window 7, sp1, 64-bit, Inkscape 0.91, 32-bit (EXE installer)
Thanks, brynn

We already have a report for it: * Bug #1122374 “Inkscape trunk crashes while working with text tool” https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1122374

Thanks ~suv. I just added a short comment.
Seems like quite a frustrating bug, that can't be reliably reproduced! Let me know if I can provide any further info or files, logs. Or I'll be glad to do any testing that might be helpful.
All best
