Hello list,
I'm just wondering where to find up-to-date Inkscape builds for Windows. There have been a few Windows-specific fixes lately, so I'm curious to see all the new stuff that has been introduced.
The last "daily" build I can find via the homepage (http://inkscape.org/download/) dates back to October 25th, and has the recently discussed "freeaddrinfo" crash bug on startup, so it's unusable for me.
Any pointers would be much appreciated,
Arnout

Arnout, Let me know if you find one! I have also been hoping for ages that the freeaddrinfo bug would get fixed but so far no go.
Erik

Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security? Get stuff done quickly with pre-integrated technology to make your job
easier
Download IBM WebSphere Application Server v.1.0.1 based on Apache Geronimo http://sel.as-us.falkag.net/sel?cmd=lnk&kid=120709&bid=263057&da... _______________________________________________ Inkscape-user mailing list Inkscape-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/inkscape-user

From my part, the computer that builds Inkscape three times a day is
broken. That computer is over 500 miles away from where I am right now, and thus I'm unable to get it up to a working point.
There is hope I'll get it fixed in a couple of weeks, but it's really hard with such a faulty BIOS.
Greetings!

I'll try and put one up tonight.

Aaron, I've just downloaded inkscape0611021330.7z. It opens OK and there is no sign of the dreaded "freeaddrinfo" bug. Thanks for making this available. I'll have fun playing with it later today but for the moment it makes me a happy camper. Erik using win2k.

Ah, yes, it looks like we've given up on ssl for now.
http://inkscape.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/inkscape/inkscape/trunk/Makefile....
Erik, would you be willing to try building the ssl library that we need on win2000?

Hi Aaron, I don't think I can help with the SSL/win2000 problem at the moment. First I am not a developer and do not even know what ssl stands for :-(. One of my aims is to get involved in Linux but at present I am wedded to Windows and don't see that changing too soon. Last, I am up to and over my head in some other design projects that have Xmas deadlines. It's all I can do to keep up with the Inkscape forum and test builds every so often. If I took something else on my wife would not be overly excited! I'll putter along and when things clear up a bit can get back to you and see if I can help. In the meantime thanks again for getting the windows builds back on the rails.
Erik

Thanks a bunch for that! It indeed doesn't show the freeaddrinfo bug anymore and seems to run without problems at first sight.
