Is there a way to turn a cloned object back into a regular individual object?

I've got a set of symbols that I've copied, duplicated, cloned, copied to new documents, moved to other new documents, etc etc so many times I've got no idea what the "original" would be.

If I use Shift+D to "discover original" in all of the several documents I'm currently working in, all I get is "original is in defs and NOT VISIBLE" - and if I try to copy one of these symbols from that document to a new one the cloned parts straight up won't cut and paste over to the new Inkscape doc.

I could redraw these symbols, they're not all that complex, but I'd really rather not have to.

Is there a way to turn a clone object into a freestanding regular object?
