Could anyone tell if there's a way to place a new node at the intersection of two straight lines (without converting each line into a shape by adding more nodes, then doing something like path merge/union/intersection on those two shapes etc).
Hava you tried with path --> cut path ?
Yeah, I've just spent some time trying to work out exactly what "cut path" does. It's easy to understand when both parties are shapes with area, but when either (or both) are just splines, the results are a little confusing. It certainly doesn't seem to do what I'm after (which is to chop each of my two splines into two pieces)... :-(
