Copy between documents only copy as bitmap? (21461 in OS X)
Hi,
I just noticed that i can't copy items between documents in the latest build for OS X (21461 and 21420) Copied vector objects turn up as bitmaps with a white background.
It copies fine in the old 0.46 though
Thought someone would like to know :)

This is caused by the Pastboard Syncing feature of X11. Please see the FAQ on how to enable copy&paste of vector objects within inkscape. http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/FAQ#Copying_and_pasting_in_Inkscape_creates_pixellated_images_instead_of_copying_the_vector_objects. Or read the past thread at http://www.nabble.com/-OS-X--X11-clipboard-vs.-OS-X-pasteboard-to23653031.html.

Don't know - I never used 0.46 on osx, but this seems to be more related to previous versions of X11/XQuartz.

thanks! hth, ~suv
Thanks a lot, now i can copy objects between documents again.
I use XQuartz 2.3.3 The strange part is that 0.46 copy fine with the same XQuartz 2.3.3 without disable anything.
Cheers :)

Support for copy/paste with system clipboard has been rewritten, see Release Notes 0.47 http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/ReleaseNotes047#Desktop_integration_improvements and - if you are interested to follow bugs - the discussion in #170185 https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/170185.
AFAIU that's why, but - I'm not a developer...
Cheers :)
