Hello,
Since I use arrows in some of my diagrams and batik won't render them into the resulting pdf I am hoping that one of you fine guys could help me with a solution to this.
Any ideas on manipulating arrows in a way that makes batik render them?
best regards Steffen

Batik does render markers. I just tested our share/examples/markers.svg and it is rendered the same in Batik 1.5.1 and Inkscape. If you have a file where Inkscape shows markers but Batik does not, this is likely a bug, please submit that file to the bug tracker.

Sorry, I was mistaken. I am using XEP to produce my PDF-output and assumed it would use Batik. It uses its own renderer, though, which does not seem to support markers. What a pity.

Can you send this project a kindly bug report?

According to their list of features - where markers are missing - this is simply not implemented, yet. I've dropped a message on their ML, though. I am waiting for answers. Heck, no answers in the five minutes since I've posted my request. Bad support! ;-)

Actually I did it long ago (I use XEP myself). They promised to look at it but it's kinda low priority for them. So one more complaint from a user won't hurt :)
As for Inkscape, we certainly need a way to convert markers to shapes. Our inability to do so is a known bug (#933482).

Hello,
I just wanted to report back that XEP fixed that bug in their latest release.
