I keep asking this question but never see it on the list. will try once again.
I compiled 44.1 clean but I get this error on execution: inkscape: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libpango-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_intern_static_string

Well I can see your post OK.
Don't know I can be much help. but are you sure you have the development parts of the pango library installed?
