Hi,
Inkscape is really a great piece of software.
There's a "feature" that is quite irritating though. When I select an object, if it happens that there are other objects above or below, if I click & drag to move the selected object, then sometimes another object is selected and dragged (and sometimes not)...
That's really annoying... Is there a way to force inkscape to understand that the object I want to move is the object that is currently selected and not anything else?

You could use the cursor keys (shift cursor to make it move further) to get it to a clear space...
