the space for form/text/align/document windows on the right side is too large and cannot be decreased
Hi,
I have Inkscape 0.91 and find the following very irritating:
when I open Strg-Shift-D (document) or similar than the opening part of the screen is about one fourth of the screen. Trying to decrease the space by working with the mouse on the separation line changes the mouse cursor but the line stays immovable. When one is in Fullscreen mode it can be tolerated but when using only part of screen it should decrease accordingly. It stays with the orignimal width. That is most irritating. Has anybody else found this same behaviour?

I'm not sure if I understand the problem.
I think you are talking about large dialogs being docked. In 0.91, all the dialogs are docked by default. But they don't have to remain docked. You can undock them, and they float freely, and can be made larger or smaller. But for smaller, a lot of them are limited as to how small they can be.
To undock them, just grab by their titlebar and drag away towards the left. When you release the mouse, you'll see the separated window.
After you either undock or close a large dialog, sometimes the docking area snaps back to fit any remaining open, docked dialogs. But sometimes it remains very wide, as if the dialog was still there. But now you should be able to drag it smaller. (unless there is another large dialog in the docking area)
I've actually undocked all my very large dialogs, such as Doc Prop, Inks Prefs, Text and Font, and even some not so large, that I just prefer to be able to move around.
However, I'm not sure if I've understood the problem???
